September 26, 2011 - Clearing the Air

September 26, 2011 - To kick off the first show of the year, UCLA students talk about their summer adventures around the world. Fifth-year geography and global studies student Jason Caporaletti and third-year geography/environmental studies and Chicana/o studies student Amanda McDowell studied abroad in China this summer. They explain why some believe the country is on its way to becoming a new world superpower. Later, third-year Near Eastern languages and cultures student Carly Olenick talks about digging in Jaffa, Israel, on an archaeology trip. She’ll tell us what she found.

Clearing the Air streams Mondays at 6 p.m. on "UCLAradio.com":http://uclaradio.com/.
