The Daily Bruin Radio Show: October 18, 2010

We hear from Gavin Newsom, Rosario Dawson, and Daily Bruin senior staffers Maya Sugarman and Matt Stevens.

Last week, the Daily Bruin published a series on basketball in Yaoundé, Cameroon – the hometown of two UCLA basketball alumni. The on-site reporting was made possible by the Bridget O’Brien Scholarship Foundation, now in its third year of funding student journalism with a global reach and local impact.

This year’s recipients, Sugarman and Stevens, spent 31 days in Yaoundé and nearby villages listening to the stories of players, coaches and administrators involved in the game.
