Long Story Short - Jan. 30, 2011

UCLA professor of sociology and Asian American studies Min Zhou wrote her autobiography, “The Accidental Sociologist in Asian American Studies.” It documents her journey from wide-eyed immigrant to seasoned scholar pondering the social conditions she and millions of other immigrants confront. She calls in to share her journey between worlds.

UCLA alumni Justin Saka and Scott Chen teamed up and launched Go Productions in 2003. Now they are planning some of the biggest parties in Los Angeles geared toward the Asian American community. They join us to discuss their growth from economics students throwing fraternity parties to prosperous businessmen putting on extravagant events for the masses.

Long Story Short streams Mondays at 6 p.m. on UCLAradio.com.
