Dr. Demento made his way back to the UCLA campus Saturday as a guest DJ for the Hollywood Movie Magic Ball hosted by the Ballroom Dance Club. A UCLA alumnus, he graduated in 1967 with a master’s degree in folklore and ethnomusicology. He spoke by phone with reporter Melissa Chiong about his life as a radio personality.
