Long Story Short: May 9, 2011

From the good times to the bad times, memories from those big moments and experiences in life stick with us. On this week’s show, host Andrea Wang talks with the University Catholic Center’s Father Paul Rospond about how he remembers the recently beatified Pope John Paul II. We also ask people on campus about the events or experiences that stand out in their minds.

Later on in the show, reporter Melissa Chiong talks to DJ Dr. Demento about his 40-year career on the radio, heralding in artists such as Weird Al Yankovic and songs like 1962’s “Monster Mash.” And finally, third-year statistics student Lance Perry comes into the studio to talk about UCLA Undergraduate Data Fest 2011, a memorable weekend-long competition that tests students’ creative capacity.

Long Story Short airs Mondays at 6:00 p.m. on UCLAradio.com.
